”la Caixa” Banking Foundation extends its palliative care programme in China

International, 8 May 2017

The Comprehensive Care Programme for People with Advanced Illnesses provides health and psychosocial care for patients and relatives, as well as raising awareness about palliative care, its culture and the service it does for society.

The programme will be strengthened in Hong Kong thanks to cooperation between ”la Caixa” Banking Foundation, the BEA Foundation and The Salvation Army Hong Kong.

Isidro Fainé, president of ”la Caixa” Banking Foundation, noted that: “We make a significant contribution to providing comprehensive care for people in difficult circumstances. Among such people, those in the final stages of their life are a high priority. Just as we provide this care in Spain, we want to enable this commitment to cross borders”.
